Steve Martin is the founder of Strategic Options Consulting, and a strategic leader with over 30 years experience working in the public sector. Steve is known for his passion and effectiveness in developing strategic approaches to address complex problems, and his ability to drive change and innovation. He is a strong systems thinker, and change leader who collaboratively connects people to ideas and solutions.  As an architect of change, Steve has successfully developed cutting edge solutions, and transformed major program areas in the public sector.  He has extensive experience in leading multidisciplinary teams through many complex and challenging projects involving governance, policy, legislation, regulation, operations, and technology.

Change and transformation involves a re-think about the ways programs and services are delivered, developed, and funded. Public sector issues are complex, as problems often co-exist across multiple departments and levels of government.

 

Having worked in the public sector for over 30 years, I know that solutions must involve collaboration and an understanding of the systemic interrelationships across all parts of the system.  This system-thinking mindset, underpinned with data and analytics, and combined with experience and creativity provide the essential ingredients for success in public sector change and transformation.
